1. Core Principle — Transport Fees Are the Client's Responsibility

bKrazy inc. / MAISONCONTENEUR.COM manufactures and sells modular units. Delivery is carried out by specialized third-party carriers. All transport fees are exclusively the Client's responsibility, regardless of the destination in Canada.

  • Prices displayed on the site are ex-works (excluding transport)
  • No transport fees are included in the sale price
  • A detailed, free transport quote will be provided before any order confirmation
  • This quote is an estimate — the final amount may vary based on conditions at time of delivery

2. Delivery Areas

We deliver across Canada:

  • Quebec (QC) — Ontario (ON) — New Brunswick (NB) — Nova Scotia (NS)
  • Prince Edward Island (PE) — Newfoundland and Labrador (NL)
  • Manitoba (MB) — Saskatchewan (SK) — Alberta (AB) — British Columbia (BC)
  • Nunavut, Northwest Territories and Yukon: quote on request, higher costs and longer lead times

The departure point for delivery is determined by carrier availability and is not necessarily our Lévis, QC facility.

3. Factors Affecting Transport Costs

  • Distance: actual distance between departure point and delivery site
  • Unit size and weight: 40-ft container homes require more expensive transport than 7-ft modules
  • Required equipment: some units require a specialized flatbed trailer or escort vehicle
  • Transport permits: oversize or overweight loads may require provincial permits paid by the Client
  • Site accessibility: difficult access (logging roads, gravel paths, steep slopes) increases costs
  • Fuel surcharges: adjusted based on current fuel rates
  • Season: winter deliveries in certain regions may be more expensive

4. Installation Equipment — Client's Responsibility

THE CLIENT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ARRANGING AND PAYING FOR POSITIONING EQUIPMENT.
  • Most of our units require a mobile crane or knuckle boom truck to be positioned on their foundation
  • This equipment is not included in transport or sale price
  • The Client must arrange and pay for this equipment for delivery day
  • We recommend coordinating lifting equipment availability with the confirmed delivery date
  • If lifting equipment is absent on delivery day, re-routing fees may apply

5. Site Preparation

The Client is responsible for preparing the site before delivery:

  • Foundation: concrete pads, helical piles, concrete slab or other foundation appropriate for soil type. Must be level and in place before delivery
  • Access: access road at least 3.5 m (12 ft) wide with sufficient load-bearing capacity for a heavy vehicle (minimum 20 tonnes)
  • Overhead clearance: verify absence of overhead power lines, tree branches or obstacles
  • Stable surface: maneuvering area for truck and crane must be level and firm

6. Estimated Delivery Lead Times

  • In-stock units: 3 to 6 weeks after order confirmation and deposit payment
  • Custom-order units: 8 to 16 weeks depending on configuration and production schedule
  • These lead times are estimates only and not guaranteed
  • We will proactively notify you of any foreseeable delays

7. Delivery Day and Inspection

  • Delivery date is confirmed by email at least 48 hours in advance
  • The Client (or their representative) must be present during delivery
  • The Client must inspect the unit immediately upon delivery and note any visible damage on the delivery slip
  • Any claim for transport damage must be reported within 48 hours of delivery by email to info@maisonconteneur.com
  • Risk of loss or damage transfers to the Client upon loading at the Vendor's location

8. Transport Insurance

The Client is strongly encouraged to purchase transport insurance to cover damage or loss during transit. bKrazy inc. cannot be held liable for damage occurring during transport, pursuant to Article 9 of the Terms & Conditions.
